About Dr. Stout

Dr. Stout is an accomplished and dedicated educational leader with a career spanning nearly two decades. He began as a 7th grade language arts teacher in the University Place School District and has since received numerous accolades for his effective leadership. Driven by his commitment to social justice and professional learning communities, Dr. Stout has led two middle schools to success and created the Diverse School Leadership Framework during his doctoral studies.

This framework is designed to assist principals who lead schools with high diversity among its student population and low or no diversity among its staff members. Dr. Stout has also been recognized for his community service as a coach and co-founder of Narrative Changers, a community activist group that provides mentoring, coaching, and mindset-changing events for middle and high school students.
